Birding for Beginners

Have you always admired the beauty of birds? Are you interested in learning how to identify birds better? Then this class is for you! In this class you will learn about the common bird families living in the nearby mountain and foothills habitats, bird behavior, bird language, and bird identification by sight and sound.
Bird Walks

Bird Walks are offered on a monthly basis. Each season brings new species and new bird behavior. We will spend the morning looking for birds, working on identification and enjoy time outdoors with fellow bird lovers.
Native Plant Walks

Native Plant Walks will take place during the Spring, Summer and early Fall when native wildflowers are abloom. We will be observing native plant species with our senses and learning how to identify both native an non-native species. We will explore different plant habitats along the Front Range and at various elevations from plains to alpine. Please join us next season!
Nature Journaling

Nature Journaling is a great way to heighten your awareness, observation skills in nature and relieve stress. We will learn new drawing skills to help make the nature journaling process easier, more enjoyable, and improve our scientific observation skills. Your natural awareness will improve through nature journaling along with your plant, bird and wildlife identification skills.
